Giving it4 stars instead of 5 just because it was a little more costly than I would have liked but man oh man some good food.
Ordered the ground beef tacos with lettuce tomato cheese and rice. The shells tasted like super fresh home made shells. It was amazing! Each taco was about $3.50 then had additional charges for the tomato and lettuce.
Ordered my daughter a burrito. This burrito was huge! Probably a three kid meal. Which if you divide a burrito three ways for kids it was pretty cost manageable.
Rice was fresh and good, moist, not dried out.
Husband ordered a chorizo plate #10; and it was a full plate of food. His tortillas were huge, warm, and super soft. Looked fabulous.
Will for sure try this place again. Can say it isn't much to look at from the outside and the bathrooms weren't the cleanest but the food is on point.
**night of meal husband had some stomach issues that he says he was contemplating his legal standpoints for.  Still might would go back and try it again. It's that good.

Visited pancho's mexican restaurant on 9/4/19 at 3506, sw topeka blvd, topeka between 12:00- 1pm. I read all glowing reviews about this place. Parking spaces in front and side. After got in, small place fit for small crowd. Table tops and floor appear clean. Fast food type, with rediculously large menu with small letters. Ordered carne asada fries and told the mexican lady at the register not to put any beef in my food for which she says no beans in the food. This went three times, trying to let her know i do not want beef.

Order was ready  in about 10-12 minutes in a styrofoam plate. What i got  was from bottom to top layers are saltless french fries buried in avocado dip, sour cream, topped by shredded beef. I removed beef out immediately.  Could not appreciate soggy salt less fries just because topped by avacado and sour cream. After eating little, i throw all the junk in garbage can. It is extremely rare I leave out mexican food. The same food might have been better off if placed separately.

To be honest, the lady at the register does not understand english. The price is very high, cost $12 for this fast food in styrofoam plate. The food i was given was nothing but high priced junk. For food and value alone, i would rate this experience a 1*

To update this review Yelp has decided that the picture of my friends ass with said tattoo was inappropriate however if you'd like to see this picture before visiting this establish please message me and I can't get it to you. Also @yelp you're lucky I can't review you on yelp for making me review this picture because I would tear you to shreds. That ass picture was vital to my review and may have cost Pancho's millions of dollars by being taken down.

I never had this bad of customer service ever. My husband brought me chicken taco salad and a burrito and I found a PIECE OF WOOD inside of my chicken. It was at 12:13am, we drove 15 mins to the store to bring the food back and only want the money refund. It was only 16 dollars total. I tried to explain to the lady what's going on. But she refused to give me refund and talk to me. Instead of talk to me, she call the police to come talk to me. There's two guy who's working in the kitchen was laughing at me also:( After I told the police what's going on, then she finally give me the money refund, but she told me that we are banned from this store!! All of this took us over one hour . I"ll never believe this happens to me. The store serve the bad food to customer, then refuse the refund ,then call the police , then give back the refund, then told customer you are banned from this store? for what? I don't understand. Anyway, this experience will also report to healthy departments, because that is a piece of wood inside my chicken. It will almost kill people. I'm a restaurant manager, I'll never let my employees let my customer down , and I'll never forget this "panchos experience " , I will never come back again.

I'm a Topeka transplant from Southern California, so I've had some amazing Mexican food. Pancho's definitely measures up. One thing I've noticed is that the measure of a good Mexican restaurant is the rice. If the rice sucks, the rest typically sucks as well. Well the rice at Pancho's reminds me of my Mom's. It's the real thing. I highly recommend Pancho's if you want tasty, authentic Mexican food!
